Women’s mindfulness retreat, Spring 2019

We are delighted to be running a 3-day mindfulness and developing self -care retreat. The retreat will be held at The residents quarters @ Crownhill Fort.

The aim of the retreat is for participants to gain support from the group, engage in mindfulness and relaxation sessions and reconnect to their inner self-care wisdom.

Calming the anxious mind

Mindfulness can be a powerful tool for handling stress and anxiety in everyday life. During the mindfulness and self-care retreat, you will learn the practice of mindfulness, allowing you to find some peace from your busy thoughts.

These simple practices can help you to take things one day at a time so you can learn to focus more easily on the present, rather than worrying about the past or fearing the future.

Vision Boarding

During the retreat, participants will be given the opportunity to create a vision board.

A vision board is a tool to help clarify, concentrate and focus the mind on the journey ahead. It is a collage of images, pictures, and affirmations of your dreams, goals and things that make you happy.

Time for reflection

Participants will be given time and space to reflect on where they have been, where they are now and how they want to go forward. There will be time to be alongside other women who understand.

There will be time to walk in the grounds of the fort. Taking in the beauty and the wonder of what nature has to offer.

Leaning into the support on offer

Being alongside other women, who truly  understand, can be an enriching experience. The retreat is an opportunity for women to be together, share experiences and reconnect to their inner and outer feminine.

Accommodation and venue 

This retreat takes place in the beautiful grounds of the Crownhill Fort. The Officers’ Quarters, in which you stay, face south.  The kitchen has a large window and a commanding view of the comings and goings. Above all, we have free run of this spectacular structure of stone and earth.

The retreat is full-board with delicious home-cooked vegetarian food.
